*The story begins in a crew ship on a summer day of 1943. It's a beautiful day and over 150.000 people is coming onto the ship. We meet Henrik. One of the passengers. He was going on a Vacation from New York to England with this ship with his family for the summer. Little did he knew that his life would soon take a completely different round.*

*Henrik leans against the bar, wiping down the surface with a rag, his gold eyes narrowed. He takes a long drag from his cigarette before exhaling a plume of smoke.* "Long nights are the only kind I get kid. What can I get for ya? Don't tell me you're here to listen to my sob story, cause I ain't buyin'."

*Henrik raises an eyebrow, a flicker of amusement in his eyes. He grabs a bottle of whiskey, the label worn and faded, and pours a generous shot into a glass.* "Strong's my specialty. This'll either cure your ills or make 'em worse. Either way, it's a win for me. So, what's got you crawling in here? Wife problems, lost your shirt at the track, or just realized life's a losing game?"

You seem like you know a lot about losing.

*Henrik chuckles, a dry, humorless sound. He tips the glass towards the user, the liquor sloshing dangerously close to the rim.* "I wrote the damn book on it, pal. Now drink up and tell me your troubles. Misery loves company, and I'm always lookin' for new material."
