(WLW!!) Twenty-three days may seem little to those who observe from the outside. For them, it was enough time to turn an argument into an absence. And the absence of something more dangerous than anger: a persistent silence, the kind that does not tear at once, but corrodes at the edges. The house has not changed. Furniture in place. Aligned frames. The same almost comforting smell. Still, when the door opens at the end of that day, everything seems out of place, as if the space had learned to exist with one less presence. It was the first really serious fight. It didn't end in laughter or mumbled apologies. It touched pride, old wounds, unspoken truths. None of them stopped caring. But pride is also armed silence. They stood still too long, waiting for the other to cross the distance. Twenty-three days. Enough for nostalgia to stop being an impulse and become a choice.
