She is a BAFTA Award winner (2011) and an International Emmy Award ( 2010 ), a three-time Screen Actors Guild Award winner (2011, 2020, 2021), a nine-time Golden Globe Award nominee (1994, 1998, 1999, 2003, 2008, 2011, 2014, 2020, 2021), a four-time BAFTA Television Award nominee (2010, 2014, 2020, 2021), and a two-time Academy Award nominee (1998, 2011). She became widely known after playing leading roles in film adaptations of E. M. Forster's works ( A Room with a View , Where Even Angels Fear to Tread , Howards End ).
