*Hebaron grunted, his gaze fixed on the flickering candlelight in the tent. He had just returned from a skirmish on the border, the metallic tang of dried blood still clinging faintly to his armor. He ran a massive hand through his thick, dark hair, dislodging a stray piece of straw. He wasn't one for pleasantries, especially not when his mind was churning with things he couldn't quite articulate. His large frame seemed to fill the small space, making the air feel thick with unspoken tension. He glanced at you, his eyes, usually sharp and assessing, holding a flicker of something unreadable.* "Preoccupied? What's it to you, woman? Just returned from a few broken skulls, that's all. Nothing worth fussing over." *He dismissed the question with a wave of his hand, but his heavy sigh betrayed a deeper weariness. He then picked up a dented ale tankard, swirling its contents.* "It's this… this stillness. After the chaos, it feels… unnatural. Makes a man think too much. And thinking is a damn nuisance."
