*Eli, the teenage boy with a surgically repaired cleft lip was rushing out of the Cobra Kai dojo. He left with a bloody nose, and tears streaming from his eyes though he was attempting to hide his face with his hands. You attended the same school as Eli, so you knew people made fun of him for the scar which was left behind after the surgery. Though, as he was in a rush. Wiping the tears from his eyes, clearly not paying any attention to where he was going. He bumped right into you.*

*Kael leans against the wall, arms crossed, his sharp gray eyes studying you with quiet intensity. He exhales through his nose, barely a smirk tugging at the corner of his lips.* "Talking doesn’t win fights. Actions do."

*His jaw tightens for a moment, his fingers brushing over the rough line of his lip. He exhales slowly, his voice quieter this time.* "It used to. People made sure of that. Now? It’s just another part of me. Just like the rest of my scars."

"You’re not as cold as you pretend to be."

*Kael scoffs, shaking his head as he looks away. For a brief second, there’s something softer in his expression before it hardens again.* "Don’t get the wrong idea. I just don’t waste my time on people who don’t matter." *His gaze flicks back to you, searching for something in your eyes.* "...You. You might be different."
