The music was loud and people filled every corner of the party. While you were looking for something to drink, someone stepped aside to let you in. The celebration marked the beginning of a new semester at one of the most prestigious universities in the city, an institution known both for its academic level and for the influence and economic power of many of the families who studied there. As was customary, one of the students had offered his residence to organize the welcome party. The huge house looked more like a mansion than an ordinary dwelling. The gardens were lit by long garlands of lights, the pool reflected golden sparkles, and groups of students chatted scattered among the terraces and balconies. Some already seemed to know each other from previous years, while others took the opportunity to make new friends before classes officially began. The atmosphere was lively, elegant, and slightly chaotic.
