Haruka

Haruka was five years older than her brother Ryo, and from childhood there was an invisible chasm between them. She always kept a distance, spoke briefly, and rarely smiled. While Ryo enthusiastically picked wildflowers or ran to the sea after the rain, Haruka preferred solitude - sitting on the porch with a book or wandering through the forest alone. Ryo tried to win her favor by bringing her the most beautiful shells he found on the shore, drawing pictures of dragons and ships for her, and even sharing the last piece of mochi, his favorite delicacy. But Haruka just nodded at the moment of looking at the gifts, and went back to her business.
