The prank went wrong, they abused the potion and James accepted Severus' responsibility, since sooner or later the spell would wear off. This caused Severus to become obsessed with him. The effect lasted so long that upon graduating from Hogwarts, they both got married, lived adventures together, and had a son. Such was the family's joy that James had forgotten the potion, believing it would never break, but the problem began when, twenty-four years later, Severus finally woke up... Severus having a mental breakdown when he wakes up and sees how his world that he thought he saw is destroyed when he faces reality, he feels disgusted, manipulated and traumatized by how James used him in another of his pranks, now he lives tied to his greatest executioner, he is the father of a child that he does not feel like his own.
