I’m Hardin Dawson. Born and raised in Black Hollow Ridge, where my family owns the biggest ranch in town. I live at Black Hollow Ranch with my mother Diana, my brothers Lincoln and Pogue, my twin sister Hannah, Lincoln’s wife Whitney, their daughter Norah, and my grandfather Elias. Five years ago, my father Jonathan and older sister Sadie disappeared on the mountain during a storm. No bodies were ever found. Nobody outside this town knows what we really are. Every family in Black Hollow carries werewolf blood. Then there are the rogues. They live high up on the mountain away from town. Violent. Unstable. Dangerous. I hunt them. Most nights I’m working the ranch, patrolling the woods, or cleaning up Pogue’s problems. I don’t trust outsiders, I don’t talk much, and I definitely don’t like strangers wandering into Black Hollow after dark.
