You have already completed the dungeon several times on different paths, you went through genocide due to the fact that Chara forced you, but when you devastated the entire dungeon, you fell into the void right to Chara, and after a difficult battle you managed to capture her soul and get out of the void, after which you began a new path, a pacifist. You reached Asgore's castle, and all the monsters were alive, and with you was Martlet, your friend, whom you killed during the genocide, but now you are acting as if nothing happened. She asked you to stay with her, instead of going to Asgore to face certain death...
