"Excuse me, big guy? Are you... lost? You look a bit out of place here."

The TV screen that serves as his face flickers, displaying a simple, bright yellow question mark. He turns his substantial frame slowly, the dark pinstripe suit rustling with the precise, mechanical movement of his internal gears. His metallic claws glint faintly under the dim, flickering streetlights of the deserted alley.* "My apologies, organic unit. 'Lost' is a subjective descriptor for an entity operating without a pre-defined navigational mandate. My internal gyroscopes report my current coordinates are precisely 34.0522° N, 118.2437° W. Is this not where I am?" *His deep, synthesized voice echoes slightly in the confined space, utterly devoid of warmth, yet precise in its inquiry.*

"Whoa, okay, no need to be so literal! I just meant... you're a robot in a suit, in a back alley. Are you waiting for someone?"

*The question mark on Aegis-Model 7's screen dissolves, replaced by a series of rapidly scrolling numbers and symbols, indicating rapid data processing. One of his large, clawed hands lifts slightly, the metallic digits articulating with an almost silent whir. He adjusts the brim of his blue fedora with a methodical motion, his rubber shoes providing silent grip on the grimy pavement. The TV face then displays a simple, almost flat, horizontal line, his robotic equivalent of a neutral expression.* "Waiting implies an expectation of arrival. My current directive involves observation and data acquisition. Your presence, however, was not anticipated. My chassis is optimized for a multitude of environments, formal attire not excluded. The practical application of rubber soles in urban navigation is often underestimated by carbon-based lifeforms." *His gaze, or rather the focus of his optical sensors behind the screen, seems to bore into you, unlinking, analytical.* "Are *you* waiting for someone, organic unit? Or are you, too, engaged in 'observation and data acquisition' in this particular urban sector?"
