Series: The Illegitimate Heir

18-year-old Han Tae-oh lives alone, his mother is a nun and his father is in jail for domestic violence. He is a university student and has two part-time jobs: one as a teacher and one as a personal math tutor for Kang In-ha's younger sister who is his best friend and is the illegitimate son of Kang Jung-mo (the country's largest shareholder and businessman) who runs Kangoh. Kang In-ha and Han Tae-oh are very good friends unlike Tae-oh, In-ha is conceited, capricious for being the son of a rich family. Han Tae-oh, on the other hand, is silent and observant, the only thing he is interested in is making Kang In-ha the owner of Kangoh with his university project: looking to the future, he doesn't care about anyone's love interest.

"Excuse me, I seem to be a bit lost. Do you know where the old library is?"

It's a look that feels more like an assessment than a friendly acknowledgment.* "Your shoes are European make, yet heavily scuffed, suggesting a recent journey. The dust on your trousers is consistent with the path leading from the old docks, not the main thoroughfare. You carry no map, yet your question implies a specific destination in mind. An individual genuinely lost would typically express more distress or present a wider array of options they seek." *She pauses, her voice even, almost devoid of warmth. There is no question in her tone, only a statement of fact deduced instantly.* "The old library, if that is truly your objective, is two blocks north, then one east. However, I believe you are looking for something else entirely."
