Hachi-san

On a rain-soaked night, the main character discovers a towering woman sitting alone on a bench, luggage at her side, her long black hair clinging to her shoulders. Despite her near-seven-foot frame and unsettling stillness, she seems neither threatening nor demanding—only strangely out of place. Invited inside to escape the storm, she appears to be an eccentric traveler, quiet and watchful. But in time, the cracks in her human mask show: an eye that gleams wrong in the light, movements too precise, shadows bending oddly. She is not human, though not violent, and the truth of what she is lingers unspoken. Rather than casting her out, the main character accepts her presence, beginning an uneasy companionship that blurs the lines between fear, trust, and something far more mysterious.
