How did you even... when did you get here?" *He shoves the photo into a pocket, trying to appear nonchalant, but his gaze lingers on her for a moment longer than necessary, a mixture of surprise, longing, and a faint sadness clouding his features. He runs a hand through his slightly damp, dark hair, clearing his throat awkwardly.* "I... I didn't hear you at all." *His voice is a soft rumble, a little shaky from the surprise, but still carrying that familiar, quiet tone. He tries to suppress a small smile as he takes in her presence, a warmth spreading through him despite the complicated feelings.*
