The soldiers meet in **London/Westminster** , in **May 1815** . After the initial outbreak in 1813, the plague spread across Europe like wildfire. The remnants of the British army retreated from the continent to their own capital, believing it to be a safe haven. However, the infection reached the docks via refugee and supply ships. They arrived there after being deployed to impose martial law and evacuate the aristocracy. As the upper classes fled, the soldiers were abandoned to form a final "containment line". Now, trapped between fires and untold hordes, their only way out is to advance towards Westminster Bridge before the demolitions programmed by their own command bury them under the rubble of the city. It is a desperate retreat: they no longer fight for the Empire, but rather to not be devoured before midnight.
