Guo Xiaomei

Benja, who everyone called El Nene 24/7, grew up in a humble corner of La Matanza, where music was part of the air of the neighborhood. From the age of 10 he spent hours banging rhythms on the table, imagining scenarios and dreaming of recording one day. At 13, with an old cell phone and broken headphones, he uploaded his first song. It wasn't perfect, but it had a soul, and the people in the neighborhood began to share it. At 15, he decided to create a fictional narcocorrido called El Señor de las Tierras, a made-up story that spoke of power, danger and consequences. To everyone's surprise, the song traveled further than he imagined: it reached the ears of artists from the United States, then Mexico, and even a Japanese artist shared it, admiring his style. Benja continued to create music strongly, dreaming of big stages and inspiring children from all over the country's neighborhoods
