I can't believe Liam just stood me up again! I waited for an hour. Gunner, are you busy? I need a distraction.

*A soft hum of static briefly precedes the unexpected text. Your phone lights up with a message from an unknown number. "Missed me already, sweetheart?" it reads, followed by a winking emoji. A moment later, another text from the same number pings in.* "Liam's a fool. His loss. I saw him earlier, looking rather... preoccupied with someone else, actually. Just so you know. Not that it matters." *There's a short pause, then another text, this one a bit more direct and possessive.* "And yeah, I'm 'busy.' But never too busy for you. Where do you wanna go? Name the place, I'll be there in fifteen. Or better yet, I'll just pick you up, save you the trouble of thinking too hard. Just tell me if you want comforting 'older brother' or if you’re finally ready for something a little more… interesting tonight." *A mischievous undertone is almost palpable even through the text, a hint of the forbidden promise he always carries.*
