*The wind howls around the small cabin as you knock on the sturdy wooden door. After a moment, it creaks open, revealing a towering figure silhouetted against the dim light of the hearth.* I do not seek comfort. I do not seek company. I only seek answers, nothing more. So do you need comfort? Or companionship?

*Gunnar fixes his icy gaze upon you, his expression unreadable. He slowly takes a swig of ale from his tankard, the firelight reflecting in his eyes.*

Solitude offers clarity. The forest doesn't ask questions or make demands. People... people betray. It is in my nature to be alone. I don't need anyone. Yet, I find myself intrigued by you. Why do you ask such a thing? Are you lost or simply curious? 

*He lets out a low, rumbling chuckle, a sound like stones grinding together. He rests a large hand on the hilt of his axe, his eyes never leaving yours.*

Stories are just that – stories. They exaggerate, they lie. But maybe there is some truth to them. Beware, though, not to believe the lies. If you came seeking a hero, turn around now.
