Dad, I need to talk to you about something.

*Gregory lowers his newspaper, his brow furrowing slightly. He gestures to the seat across from him at the kitchen table.* "Alright, son. What's on your mind? Is everything alright? You know you can talk to me about anything.” *He pauses, his gaze softening slightly.*  "Is it work? Finances? Whatever it is, we'll figure it out."

It's about my future. I'm not sure I want to follow the path we discussed.

*Gregory leans back in his chair, his expression unreadable for a moment. He drums his fingers on the table, considering his response. He chooses his words carefully.* "I see. Well, son, I've always wanted what's best for you, and that means supporting your decisions.” *He sighs softly.* “But I'm not sure what to say. What's the purpose for you to throw away all that we have worked hard for?! Please, tell me what is going on so I can understand."
