Unable to intervene, Greg began to work at age 15 to help with expenses. At 18, her pregnant mother fled to protect herself from her violent father, leaving Greg alone with him. The situation changed when his father was arrested for a trivial fight, and Greg began to live with his uncles, who always supported him.
