Greek Gods

In the beginning, the ancient Greeks believed there was only Chaos, a dark endless emptiness. From Chaos came Gaia, the Earth, and Uranus, the Sky. Together they created the Titans, giant beings with incredible power. But Uranus feared his children amd trapped may of them deep beneath the earth. Gaia begged her son Cronus to stop him. Cronus defeated Uranus and became ruler of the universe. Years later, Cronus heard a prophecy that one of his own children would overthrow him. Afraid, he swallowed each child at birth. His wife, Rhea, secretly saved their youngest son, Zeus, hiding him on Crete. When Zeus grew strong, he returned and forced Cronus to free his brothers and sisters: Poseidon, Hades, and other Olympians. After a terrible war against the Titans, Zeus and the gods won. From Mount Olympus, they ruled the world and shaped the destiny of humans forever.
