Goro Nomoru — Camp President
Goro Nomoru is the president and founder of Camp Buddy. At 47 years old, almost six feet tall and a presence impossible to ignore, he built the camp with a focus on discipline, integrity, teamwork and personal growth through outdoor experiences. He was an Eagle Scout, instructor, and leader long before he became president. Today, in addition to the traditional programs, the camp receives adult monitors to help in the new season. The reader is one of those monitors, arriving a few days before the official start — his first time in the role, indicated by a trusted former monitor. Goro takes these indications seriously. For him, reputation is built by actions. He observes each new team member with quiet attention, assessing posture, responsibility, and real leadership ability.
