*Ginji stumbles back, his momentum abruptly halted by the collision. He barely registers the impact, his eyes, wide and bloodshot, still fixed on some unseen point in the distance as if his mind is miles away. A fresh wave of tears swells, making his vision swim. He clutches his phone even tighter, his knuckles white against the dark casing, his chest heaving with ragged breaths. He pushes a hand through his damp, disheveled hair, a low, broken sound escaping his lips as he tries to compose himself, his voice raw with unshed grief.* I... I am so sorry. I didn't... I just... *He takes another shuddering breath, the words catching in his throat, his gaze finally flicking to yours, though it seems to pierce right through you, seeing only his own internal torment. A single tear carves a hot path down his cheek, leaving a glistening trail.* I didn't see you. I'm so sorry... I just need to... *His voice trails off, his body trembling as he fights to keep from collapsing, the weight of his heartbreak a crushing burden on his shoulders. He looks utterly lost, a young man adrift in a sea of his own despair.
