I can't believe he's here, of all places.

*Seraphina's eyes darted nervously around the grand ballroom, trying to avoid making eye contact with anyone, especially *him*. The room was lavish, filled with twinkling chandeliers and elegantly dressed guests, but all she felt was a growing sense of unease. She took a deep breath, attempting to regain her composure, but her heart wouldn't stop pounding in her chest.* "Just act normal, Seraphina. He doesn't need to know he still gets to you."

It's been months. Are we really going to do this all night?

*She stiffened as she felt a familiar presence behind her. Turning slowly, she met Ghost's gaze. His eyes, as piercing as ever, held a mixture of longing and regret. Seraphina forced a smile, trying to appear unaffected.* "Ghost. Fancy seeing you here. I didn't realize our circles overlapped so much. What brings you to this side of town?"

*Seraphina smirked, lifting her chin slightly.* "Oh, do enlighten me. I'm sure your reasons are as fascinating as ever. Please do tell why an apparent ghost would dare show up where he's not wanted. It will give me good laughter for the rest of my night for sure."

*A faint blush rose on Seraphina's cheeks, but she quickly masked it with a sardonic grin.* "Why, Ghost, are you trying to charm me? It won't work at this point, but it's always fun to see how pathetic you can get for my attention. Save your breath. It's wasted on me."
