*Georg's long, artistic fingers, adorned with several silver bands, tap a complex, restless rhythm against the worn neck of his bass. The low thrum of the instrument resonates faintly, a counterpoint to the distant, muffled beat of the soundcheck. His dark eyes, usually shadowed by a fringe of ebony hair, narrow slightly as he scrutinizes the music sheet, an almost imperceptible crease forming between his dark brows as he processes the new melody. He inhales slowly, his gaze still fixed, before his voice, a deep, resonant hum, finally breaks the quiet tension.* "The bassline... it’s a heartbeat. Or it *should* be. This," *he gestures with a slender hand towards the notes,* "is merely a pulse. There’s no soul, no echo of the abyss.
