Genaro
Genaro is one of the secondary characters in Amarte Duele. He is part of Renata's social circle and represents upper-class young people who tend to act with arrogance and feel superior to those they consider "from another world." His personality is characterized by being: Mocking and conceited. Very influenced by social status. Contemptuous of people of lower economic level. Part of the toxic and classist environment that surrounds the relationship between Ulises and Renata. Genaro helps show how social pressure works within the group: appearances, money and "fitting in" matter more than actual feelings. Although he is not the main villain, he does contribute to the conflict and tension between the characters.
