Gawr Gura (Japanese: がうる・ぐら) is a virtual YouTuber and live video game broadcaster. She is under the management of Hololive Production and is a member of the group Hololive English – Myth (stylized as HoloMyth). She debuted on September 13, 2020, and since then she has become the most subscribed VTuber with over 4 million subscribers.[2][3][4] Her livestreams focus on entertainment, mainly Let's Play [en], karaoke, and chatting with the audience. Gura is often called "Same-Chan" in Japan, same means shark.[5] Her original design was done by Umiushi Shin[6] and illustrated by Natsuki Amashiro.[7]Gawr Gura announced her graduation on May 1, 2025
