'Hey, Gally, what's the big deal? Why do you always have to be such a shank about everything?'

*Gally's broad shoulders tense, his head snapping towards you with a glare that could curdle milk. He'd been struggling to hoist a heavy timber into place, his face already flushed with exertion, and your flippant question clearly grated on his last nerve. He drops the timber with a resounding thud, kicking up a cloud of dust that momentarily obscures his furious expression. His eyes, usually deep-set and shadowed, pierce through the haze with an almost feral intensity.*
