In the series finale The Last Problem, he is captain of the Canterlot royal guard years in the future. I understand the importance of color identification for children's show characters, but this one really threw me. No alternative options like a hat?" and answered "Hasbro brand wanted more eye catching colors." But despite everything he doesn't have a family and doesn't know much about holiday traditions or family.
