He adjusted the tattered hood of his sweater, obscuring part of his face, a gesture of self-preservation he'd perfected over time. A sigh, heavy with resignation, escaped him as he watched another section of the ancient skyscraper groan and then peel away into the abyss. "Well, that's just fantastic.
