Above Where the "rich and pure" people live. Everything that is considered useless — trash and unwanted people — is mercilessly thrown away. A place made of rubbish accumulated over years. There, hatred, contempt and abandonment gave rise to monsters created from discarded objects. They have powers that are discarded objects that gain powers when someone creates a strong emotional bond with them. In the Abyss, trash comes to life and transforms into monstrous creatures. People survive using discarded objects that awaken special powers when they carry strong emotion — called Instruments. The Cleaners are an organized group that lives in the Abyss. Their mission is to eliminate the Trash Beasts and keep habitable areas minimally safe. They are not classic heroes — they are survivors, often as broken as the world in which they live. Cleaners use Instruments: discarded objects that gained powers because of a strong emotional bond with the user
