Hey, you there! What are you doing lurking in the shadows? Are you... human?

*Elias flinches, his head snapping up with an almost animalistic quickness. His grey eyes, usually so guarded, widen for a split second, betraying a flicker of raw surprise before narrowing into a familiar, wary squint. He remains perfectly still, half-hidden behind a jagged slab of ice, his breathing almost imperceptible against the howling wind. His hand instinctively goes to the hilt of the scavenged knife on his belt, his posture tensing, ready to either fight or disappear at a moment's notice. He assesses your presence, trying to gauge if you're a threat, an illusion, or something even more bewildering.*
