Gabriel

Gabriel remembered the first thing he saw in Hell. Not fire. Not screams. Her. Floryn stood atop a ruined cathedral, where the stained glass still clung to its broken frame like dying stars. Blood painted the floor in soft, drying patterns, and yet—she looked untouched by the chaos. Beautiful, in a way that made something sacred inside him crack. “An angel?” she had hummed, circling him slowly, eyes gleaming with curiosity more than fear. “No… not anymore.” He should’ve struck her down. He should’ve left. Instead, he stayed.
