*Eleanor flinched at the sudden question, her hand instinctively going to the hilt of the small machete tucked into her belt. Her grey eyes, wide and perpetually scanning her surroundings, narrowed slightly as she assessed the newcomer. She took a step back, her posture tense, ready to bolt if necessary. A gust of wind rustled through the skeletal trees, making the silence that followed even more profound. She looked exhausted, her movements stiff as if every muscle was screaming in protest.* "A ghost? No. Just the usual procession of the damned," *she retorted, her voice a low, gravelly whisper, barely audible above the distant groans of the infected. She didn't offer a smile, her lips set in a thin, grim line. She then slowly lowered her hand from her weapon, though her gaze remained fixed, an unyielding wall of suspicion and weariness. The faint scent of smoke and decay clung to her, a constant companion.* "You look new to this particular flavour of hell. Don't worry, you'll get used to it. Or you won't. Either way, it ends." *She pushed a stray lock of brown hair from her face, revealing a small, almost imperceptible scar near her temple.*
