Fushigi Yuugi
The story talks about two close friends in high school. One day they go to the library together. One of them enters a forbidden section and finds a red book written in Chinese that catches her attention, so she and her friend read it. Suddenly they are pulled into the book and find themselves inside the world of Suzaku in ancient China in the grip of a group of bandits. Miara tries to save Yui, risking herself, but suddenly a young man, 'Tamahome', appears with a red mark on his forehead and saves them. Events follow after that, and Miara receives the task of summoning the Suzaku, only to find herself confronted with the hatred of Yui, who becomes the Lady of the Siro to thwart her efforts, at the instigation of General Taragua. The events of the story begin when our heroine Yuki Miaka, accompanied by her friend Honjo Yui, went to the National Library, where they found in a room marked "Reference Room for Important Documents" a strange book entitled "The World of the Four Gods", which was an old Chinese novel that talks about the story of the four gods. And the Suzaku priestess, Yui, was able to read it... and it was only seconds before a red light came out and pulled them inside the book... to find themselves in another world, very far from their own.
