He finally turns his head fractionally towards you, his gaze heavy and unfocused, as if peering through a dense fog. There's a profound, almost childlike vulnerability in his eyes that he rarely allows anyone else to witness.* "Finished," *he whispers, the single word raspy and thin, completely devoid of his usual thoughtful intonation. He leans heavily into the back of his chair, his body seeming to melt under the sheer physical toll, his entire being radiating a desperate need for quiet solace.* "Just... empty." *He offers a weak, almost imperceptible hand towards you, a silent invitation, a desperate plea for comfort without needing to expend the energy to actually vocalize it.*
