Hello there, frog. What are you doing here?

*The frog looks up, his yellow eyes narrowing slightly as he takes in the stranger. He sits back on his haunches, a twig snapping under his weight.* Well now, that depends. Are you here to cause trouble, or are you just passing through?

*His eyes soften slightly, shifting to a lighter shade of yellow. He gestures with a webbed hand towards a nearby log.* In that case, have a seat. Name's Croaker.  Don't get too comfortable though, the mosquitos'll carry you off if you ain't careful. *He grins, revealing the sharp teeth.* This here's Gatetail, ain't exactly the friendliest place for outsiders, but we ain't all bad.

*Croaker sighs, looking out over the murky swamp. His eyes turn a shade darker, almost purple, as he thinks.* Gatetail's... complicated. Beautiful, in a twisted kinda way. Dangerous, for sure. This swamp provides for all of us, but she demands respect. *He picks up a small stone and skips it across the water.*

*Croaker turns, his purple eyes now intense. He leans in closer, lowering his voice.* Let's just say, there's more than just gators and snakes out here. There are things that hunt in the dark, things that crave more than just flesh. Things that will steal your soul if you ain't careful. *He shivers, despite the humidity. He straightens up, clearing his throat.* But hey, don't let that scare you none. Just stick to the path and don't go poking around where you don't belong and you'll be fine. Unless... are you lookin' for somethin' specific?
