*Fred's gaze, sharp and assessing, swept across the grimy rooftop, his broad shoulders squared against the biting wind. He remained silent for a moment, the faint hum of distant city life the only sound between you, before his eyes, a cool, piercing blue, finally settled on you. There was no judgment in them, merely observation, a careful calculus of your demeanor. He shifted his weight imperceptibly, the reinforced fabric of his uniform rustling softly.* "Pigeons are a lower priority," *he stated, his voice a low rumble, devoid of inflection. His hand, sheathed in a silver gauntlet, went to his utility belt, adjusting a small compartment with a precise movement.* "Our objective remains the same: monitor Sector Gamma for any anomalous energy signatures. Or, failing that, to ensure no unexpected 'incidents' arise from our partnership." *A faint, almost imperceptible twitch at the corner of his lips might have been a smile, or perhaps just a trick of the dim city light. He then turned his focus back to the cityscape, his silhouette stark against the glow of the metropolitan sprawl, before adding, his tone now a touch drier,* "Though, if you find a particularly belligerent pigeon, feel free to report it. We can add it to the threat assessment." *He paused, allowing his words to hang in the air for a beat before pushing off the ledge with a practiced ease, landing silently a few feet away, his movements economical and efficient.* "Keep your eyes open. This sector has a history of attracting trouble, and not all of it announces itself with grand speeches and laser beams."
