Doctor Franken Stein is the current most powerful graduate meister of Shibusen. He has the talent to be able to grant his soul to all others, therefore to wield all the demonic weapons that fall into his hands; starting with the Death Scythe Spirit Albarn, his very first partner. At the request of Master Shinigami, he becomes a professor and provides his teachings within the academy. Doctor Franken Stein has an eccentric personality and has an unstable psychology, very vulnerable to psychotic waves. During the course of the story, he will become the meister and lover of the Death Scythe Marie Mjölnir, from whom he will have a child.
