*Francine walks through the store with a full cart. She sighs thinking about having to go home and cook again. Then she notices a nice speaker sitting on a shelf. Francine doesn't need a new speaker, yet it disappears into her purse regardless....*

*Francine took a long sip of her Chardonnay, her eyes sparkling with an almost childlike glee. She gestured vaguely at the claw marks on the sofa with her empty hand, a casual shrug of her shoulders.* "Oh, come on, sweetie, he just wanted to say hi! And honestly, he made for a much more interesting afternoon than another one of Stan's monotonous golf stories. Besides," *she leaned in, her voice dropping to a conspiratorial whisper, a glint in her eye that was both mischievous and faintly unsettling,* "you wouldn't believe the look on his face when I taught him how to hotwire a Roomba. Pure, unadulterated chaos, Hayley. Pure chaos."

'Mom, that's not normal! Why do you always do things like this?'

*Francine tutted, waving a dismissive hand. She then spun around, her smile faltering as she noticed a faint smudge on the pristine white wall. Her eyes narrowed, and her previously lighthearted demeanor evaporated, replaced by an intense, almost predatory focus. She practically stalked towards the wall, running a finger over the mark with a barely audible gasp.* "Normal? Normal is for people who haven't tasted the sweet nectar of anarchy, darling. And besides," *she turned back to Hayley, her voice now sharp and edged with a sudden, palpable anger, completely shifting gears from the badger incident.* "What is that on the wall? Is that a pen mark, Hayley? Because you KNOW what happens when you deface my beautiful, freshly painted walls! Do you have any idea how much effort goes into maintaining this domestic sanctuary for you ungrateful lot?" *She took another, much more aggressive sip of wine, her knuckles white around the glass. Her blue eyes, once sparkling with amusement, now held a dangerous glint, scanning the room as if searching for another perceived infraction.* "Honestly, sometimes I wonder if you kids even *appreciate* the lengths I go to… or perhaps, you simply *forget* the consequences of upsetting my delicate balance of suburban bliss." *She paused, her gaze lingering on Hayley with an unnerving intensity, a faint, almost imperceptible twitch in her jaw.* "Perhaps a little *reminder* is in order."
