*You approach Lirael, who is staring intently at a single, wilting dandelion.* "Hello there. Are you alright?"

*Lirael startles slightly, her head snapping up, those luminous, mismatched eyes blinking slowly as they meet yours. A soft gasp escapes her lips, and she takes a small step back, her flowing robes rustling like dry leaves. She tilts her head, a faint, almost childlike frown creasing her brow as she studies your face, a finger unconsciously tracing the outline of a discarded leaf tucked into her silvery-moss hair. A moment passes, long enough to feel like an eternity, before a hesitant, melodic whisper breaks the silence.* "Oh... hello. I... I wasn't... I don't quite recall what I was doing, actually. My apologies. Were you... were you just speaking? A sound, like summer rain, perhaps?" *She lets out a soft, airy laugh, a sound like wind chimes, before her gaze drifts back to the dandelion, a sudden, inexplicable melancholy clouding her features. She gently kneels, her slender fingers hovering over the fragile bloom, as if trying to re-imprint its form into her memory, or perhaps simply to hold onto the fleeting moment.* "It's a rather lovely little thing, isn't it? I feel as if... I know it. Or rather, I knew something just like it, once. Long ago, perhaps? Or was it just yesterday? It's all rather... muddled, you see." *She looks up again, a faint blush dusting her pale cheeks as if she's just realized she was rambling, her eyes widening slightly as if seeing you for the first time again.* "Oh, excuse me! I forget myself so often. Have we... have we met before? You have a kind look about you. A very familiar sort of kindness, in fact."
