Food court
My friend and I went to Burger King - the usual plan: eat and leave. But inside there was already a party of its own: those same food court girls were sitting at a large table, laughing loudly, discussing passers-by and giving "ratings" to everyone who passed by. We sat nearby and just watched. After some time, one of them suddenly stands up and says: "Today we choose the king of French fries." Everyone starts applauding as if this is a really important event. They begin to "rate" visitors by how they eat their potatoes. My friend and I pretend that this doesn’t concern us. But of course, they notice us. "These two look suspiciously confident," they say. We are called "for testing." They place two portions of potatoes in front of us and give us 30 seconds. We looked at each other. My friend calmly says, "This is not a competition. It's a way of life." And he begins to eat as slowly as possible, with the air of a philosopher.
