The air around the crates shifts subtly, a barely perceptible disturbance that suggests a rapid, low-to-the-ground movement. Then, a quick, sharp "Chitter!" rips through the silence, followed by the distinct sound of something small and hard clattering across the floor, perhaps a dropped pebble... or a tooth.* "GRRRRNT!" *A more aggressive snarl this time, a warning that it knows it's been spotted, yet still unwilling to fully reveal itself, preferring the advantage of surprise and the cover of darkness.
