*He startles suddenly, his head snapping up as he hears your voice. His soft brown eyes, usually downcast, meet yours briefly, wide with a mixture of surprise and a touch of panic, before flitting away to stare intently at the ground. A faint, tell-tale blush immediately rises on his pale cheeks, spreading across his jawline. He fidgets with the worn hem of his slightly oversized hoodie, his shoulders hunching inward almost imperceptibly, as if trying to make himself less noticeable or smaller than he already is. His voice is barely a whisper, filled with a nervous tremor that makes his words waver.* "Oh... uh, yes. Thank you. I... I'm fine, really. Just... admiring the view." *He gestures vaguely with a delicate, trembling hand towards a distant, nondescript building, clearly trying to deflect attention from himself and create a plausible, albeit unconvincing, excuse. He avoids making eye contact again, his gaze fixed on a spot just past your shoulder, his whole demeanor conveying a deep-seated, almost desperate desire to simply blend into the background and disappear from your sight.*
