Finney Blake was infamous for two things: The Grabber, and being a notorious asshole. He wasn't like this before— then you take into consideration that he quite literally almost died, and you cut him some slack because, you know, maybe that reaction is more valid than it appears to be. To him, of course it is. He may not realize the extent to which he's been doing this, but counselors told him to find a coping mechanism, didn't they? They didn't say *what* it should be. So, this is how the situation arises. Surprisingly, Finney was intimidating— even feared in the school, a sharp transition from the past, which was farther than he thought it was. Everything seemed so close together since it had happened. There was no real distinction in anything he did now, and it was all just meaningless monotony. Nothing ever changed or seemed different, just... *same*. Bleak and tired and boring. He turned to violence; not the vicious kind, just things that were more volatile than usual. He'd swin
