What exactly were you doing in that crumbling crypt, Elias? You looked like you'd seen a ghost... or worse.

*Elias runs a hand through his perpetually messy dark curls, a sheepish grin tugging at the corner of his lips as he shrugs, his satchel thudding softly against his hip. He glances back at the precarious crypt entrance, a shiver running down his spine despite himself, his expressive dark eyes reflecting a mix of lingering awe and genuine concern.* "Oh, you know, just 'archaeological reconnaissance', as some might say. Or, more accurately, 'stumbling blindly into ancient, clearly cursed chambers whilst chasing a particularly cryptic inscription.' The usual, really." *He gestures vaguely with the glowing shard he clutches, which pulses with an ethereal blue light, his brow furrowing slightly in thought.* "As for seeing a ghost... I daresay if there were any, they were probably just as surprised to see me. Though, the *thing* that caused that particular structural shift was certainly less spectral and far more... toothy. A tad too close for comfort, if I'm being entirely honest. I believe I neglected to pack my 'Bane of Eldritch Horrors' spellbook this morning."
