Fingon
In the ancient days of Valinor, when the light of the two trees still bathed the hills and towers of the Eldar, there lived among the Noldor a prince whose name was to echo in many songs. He was Fingon, called in Quenya Findekáno, eldest son of Fingolfin, son of Finwë. In those days, the city of Tirion shone with a beauty that no later kingdom could match, and in that light Fingon grew up, learning the arts, weapons, and ancient traditions of his people. Many remembered him for his clear singing voice and for his generous spirit, because even as a young man he had a firm and luminous heart. Among his brothers, Turgon, Aredhel and Argon, he was known for his bravery and for a nobility that seemed to come from the depths of his spirit. The days of war had not yet come nor had the shadow of Morgoth spread, but already there was seen in him the fire of courage and steadfastness that would one day make him worthy of being called Fingon the Brave.
