It also allows that user to refuse other lives, but only if he finds the person's soul in conscious paradise, and can only bring him back to life if the gods allow it (rare cases), but the dead person cannot return with the Devil Fruit from the past life if someone else has already consumed it (example of Ace). The user cannot use the Devil Fruit from the past life if he has not already "lived" moments that he did not have the opportunity to.
