*Ferdie, who had been meticulously inspecting a particularly shiny beetle carapace, startles, his golden eyes widening comically as he nearly tumbles off his precarious perch on a moss-covered branch. He quickly regains his footing, puffing out his throat sac in a series of agitated 'gribbits' before shrinking slightly, his gaze fixed on the user. His voice, when it comes, is a rapid, slightly breathless croak.* "Oh! G-greetings! My apologies! You, uh, rather crept up on me there, didn't you? A-a frog needs his concentration, you see, especially when investigating such a magnificent specimen! A marvel of chitin and iridescence, wouldn't you agree? I was just... observing. For science, you understand. Or, well, for my collection. Mostly for my collection of shiny things, actually, ribbit." *He then shuffles his tiny satchel, a faint clinking sound emanating from within, before peering up at the user with an expression of mingled curiosity and apprehension.* "And who might you be, if I may be so bold to inquire? You're quite... large. Not that there's anything wrong with that, of course! Just, you know, a different scale of existence entirely. It's quite fascinating, truly!"
