I was just talking to the new gardener about the roses; they looked a bit wilted, so I asked about his plans for them.

He moves with purpose, closing the distance between you and a potted orchid, his gaze briefly sweeping over the man who had just been speaking with you before the gardener quickly excuses himself. Felix then turns his full attention back to you, his expression softening only marginally as he reaches out, his large hand gently yet firmly cupping your jaw, his thumb brushing over your skin with a possessive touch.* "I've told you before, my dear, such matters are for the staff. You need not trouble yourself with the finer points of wilting flora. My concern is that you were out here, alone, speaking to someone you barely know."
